A Message For President Michel Martelly

Jacques L. Baptiste - April 5 2011, 8:25 AM

Dear President Martelly,

I left Haiti when I was very young and have not returened since.

to be honest I do not know much about the country I was born in, because to me it was just a place I was born in and that is it. Its like a child being born and raised by his father and never got to know his mother.

However I have taken a special attention to the election's going on right now and to what I can conclude, seems like your going to win. Many people are saying that you are not qualified nor have the experience to lead such a devastated country.

Regardless what those people are saying, I have listened to your speeches and I have heard your views so I believe that you mean to do well but you would need to have a strong group of dedicated and honest colleagues by your side to make a positive change in this country.

I'd love to come back to the place I was born and have a connection and know a little bit about my roots and the only way that will happen is if we have change and reforms.

I wish you all the best in your presidency.

-Jacques
