jojoline,

Hold your horses for a minute! I think you are the one who needs to shut up because you are not making any sense whatsoever.

You are lecturing me about "promotion." You ough to know that even monkeys, who are doing flip-flopping on trees in African jungles know way better about promotion than the entire government put togheter.

My hometown, which is a northern coastal town not too far from Cap-Haitian, has the most beautiful beaches in Haiti and 2 hotels.

Does that mean that city of mine is ready for tourism?

It's your call! there is no electricity, no drinking water, there is only a hellish dirt road to and from town, there is no airport, etc...

This town has the most beautiful bay but there isn't a port for cruise ships, etc...

Just because a town or city in Haiti has a hotel or 2, doesn't mean that town or city is really fit and ready for tourism because there is whole lot more than just hotels a country, or city and town need to have in order to lure.

Once again, Haiti has no electricity or public electricity.

The very few light bulbs that get lit at night use private generators.

Many people in Haiti have their own generators to light up their homes, and therefore, the government doesn't see the need to provide electricity.

Oh, BTW, you must know that I talk the talk and walk the walk. I have been involved helping people in my hometown since 1995 by providing them with basic health care, education, and economic development, etc.free of charge.

As of now, Haiti doesn't have anything to offer to tourist, and if the government is really serious about tourism, it needs to get to work and invest in infrastructures needed to attract tourist.
