$120 For The Army And $120 For Education

Ronald Altieri - October 24 2011, 5:35 PM

Mr. President,
I believe $240, 000, 000 US dollars can be collected anually for your government to put in place a serious security initiative for the country as well as to nurture your free education - there some truth in that, but also true is that a person is better educated in a decently secure environment.

Out of the 4 to 5 million Haitians who are living abroad, i must believe that at least 1 million of us will be willing to donate $12.00 US dollars a month to your goverment or a lumpsum of $120 towards the Haitian Army initiantive.

The same sum can be given towards your free education program in the same fashion.

1 million Haitians giving $240 US dollars a year to your government will equal 240, 000, 000 US million dollars a year to push Haiti forward.

Even after 5 years of your presidency, you still can be intrumental in keeping your vision alive for our dear Haiti.

Now some will laugh at the idea, but that is not the people the new Haiti is concerned about.

Some will say that the money will disappear, but those people never had faith in a chance for haiti to change.

I suggest that a website be created where people can either donate online, or for those who rather not give their debit or credit card info online, their contribution can be mailed.

All the names of the people who donate and the amount of their donation will be listed in the website, if they choose this as an option.

Wherever this money is spent should also be listed on the website with digital receipts and other related info for those who care to know what is being done with their money donated.

I like to refer that aspect of your agenda as transparens nan bon conciens.

WE HAITIANS DO NOT HAVE TO WAIT FOR DONATIONS FROM OUTSIDERS TO HELP HAITI WHILE WE WATCH OUR NATION'S SITUATION BECOME WORST AND WORST, WE CAN START HELPING OURSELVES OR WE CAN SIT AND WAIT FOR OTHERS TO HELP US. WHERE HAS THAT GOTTEN US FO FAR?

Some of us are looking to see what's happening.

Some of us are wondering what's happening.

But some of us want to make things happen.

Thank you making things happen, Sir!

Avec Respect,
Ronald Altieri
