Visit of the Director of Deutsche Bank in Haiti

The Office of Communication of the Presidency informs the Director of Deutsche Bank, Gary Hattem, a member of the Presidential Advisory Council for Economic Development and Investment, visited Haiti from 24 to 25 October 2011.

During his visit, Mr. Hattem met with the presidential team.

Discussions focused on the possibility of private investment with the Haitian banks, as part of real estate financing.

This is to allow Haitians of all social classes to have access to bank loans at preferential rates estate.

This public-private partnership has the full support of Deutsche Bank and Digicel, both determined to make this project effective in all departments.

At the end of this successful business meeting, Mr. Hattem and Presidential team expressed their satisfaction and optimism about the realization of this ambitious project.

Deutsche Bank, one of the most prestigious banks in the world, had donated five (5) million to Haiti after the earthquake.

It continues to provide financial support to countries in the areas of economic development and real estate.
