A Message For President Michel Martelly

Mickaele Mc Guffie - April 8 2011, 3:30 PM

Dear President Martelly,
They Call me "Diaspora", because I am in America, but my family flee a govenment of Francois Duvalier when people were arrested just because they did not like you. My parents with 8 beautiful children did not feel we were safe even in our own home in Petion Ville near the hotel Capri, His mother in law Mona Lisa Flores knows me well. We had a good time in the neiborhood, never closed our doors, but when the reign of Duvalier started, most of the professional people like us flee for fear of being arrested, every single diaspora family in America had a family member eighter killed or arrested for no reason, just for being in Haiti.

What choice did we have?

Tell me. So, we left a long time ago, one at a time my father sent us to NY. My mother died at 46 leaving 8 children for my father to raise, and we knew we all had to go to the University.

We left because we were forced to leave, not because we no longer loved our beautiful island.

Michel, please make the country safe for me come at least to visit, stop the kidnaping and rapings, stop the Zinglindo home invasion and killers.

Remove the squaters in homes that do not belong to them, like my aunt's house at #7 Ruelle Berne.

They have no right to just take our home and destroy it inside out.
I count on you Mikey and I know you can do the job and have a peaceful country, a beautiful country, where I played with my friends on Sunday in the Chand de Mars with the Italian pavillon.

As a child I remember this beautiiful water fountain, the water used to flow with classical music.

Haiti was beautiful, and everyone was happy.

What happened?

Please fix our country so I may come back. We need a good Hospital, I am an RN with advanced degree, perhaps I could help with a hospital, my speciality is the Operating Room and Recovery Room. HELP US
