A Message For President Michel Martelly

Mimie - April 9 2011, 7:56 AM

Dear President Martelly,
I want to congratulate you on your victory!
I never care for Haitian politics until I heard you were running for President.

I said to myself, maybe it is God's will. I always love your music and can say you are a great performer.

Please Mr. Martelly, make us proud.

Do not let endemic corruption suck you in.I, from the diaspora would like to see Haiti become once more "La Perle de Antilles".

I visited Hawaii and Dominican Republic, and said: Haiti can be like that.Hope you are Haiti "Messiah and Savior.

I am counting on you.

One thing I can not understand is why is Aristide back in Haiti?

I hope you bring him and Preval to trial.

What I do understand is the return of Baby Doc. He has paid his dues- He had time to reflect, and had time to introspect for 25 years.

Therefore, his return is justified.

On the other hand, Aristide return is a "gifle" for Haiti.

He should trial for the murder of journalist Jean Dominique, the rape of Emeline Michel...and the list goes on.
President Michel Martelly, once more congratulations! Make your haitian people proud.

We are longing for a better and beautiful Haiti.

Sincerely,
Mimie
