Following up on NGO Jobs In Haiti for Whites/Foreigners Only; Haitians need not Apply, I thought I was the only one who thought so!!! I mean really, these job requirements are straight ridiculous.

It's just systemic discrimination against the locals of any countries.

the NGO game is for white folks, Haitians need not apply unless it's a subservient position.

I have a law degree and seven years experience and I sure don't qualify for any of these jobs. Haitian parents don't have the type of money to send you abroad to go find yourself.

they want you to get a degree and get a real job, so we Haitians in the diaspora don't stand a chance, Haitians in Haiti are screwed because they have to be fluent in English, God forbid an NGO learn the local language, it's the local that need to learn their language to communicate with them. if you know, all the cluster meetings are conducted in English, so they could careless about local participation.

the way they see it, its their money and the haitians should be grateful that they are there.

but don't worry when the money ran out, so will the NGOs. some are pulling out as we speak, they ran out of funds, living a luxurious lifestyle in Haiti ain't cheap.
