Gary Conille was abroad and does not have five consecutive years residence in Haiti as it is required by the constitution.

He is the son of a preeminent Duvalierist.

Parliament is unlikely to accept a Duvalierist.

Wilson Lalo does not have a residency problem but he might not have the expertise of Gary Conille.
