Aid to the poor.

Of course the Haitian government needs taxes to build the country and I agree that Haiti needing to be self sufficient.

Surely one way to do this is to educate the children and that is what the orphanage I try to help is doing so they have some chance when they grow up.
A basic education hopefully will help them get a job.
Where would these vulnerable children be if some of the orphanages had not taken them in. There are some good people who run orphanages.
