But will they let us?

I remember growing up in Haiti we have been able to produce our own rice, export coffee and cacao and the peasants somehow were able to grow their corn...Now this global flat world like Friedman called it leaves not much room for the poor to produce their staples.

My Ex wife was telling me that her Country Mexico whose the main staple is Tortilla was made out of local corn field but now it is being imported from Ohio den USA(through NAFTA)
