A Message For President Michel Martelly

Joseph Hispagne Pierre - April 10 2011, 10:54 AM

Dear President Martelly,

I would like you to keep surrounding yourself with smart and intelligent people as you are doing right now.

I also would like you and the haitian congress to define the residency requirement unequivocally concerning the eligibility of the haitians who may possibly intend to run for any office in Haiti.

I feel that you contradict yourself a bit when you said in your press conference that there is no difference between the haitians living abroard and those living in Haiti and at the same a requirement is imposed on them regarding their willingness to run for any office in their beloved country.

I also think that it would be better for the constitution to be amended so that a president can do two consecutive terms without leaving office.

Therefere, he or she would be able to implement the vision and plan he or she has for the nation

I admire your leadership and I wish you and the nation good luck! You have the golden opportunity to become the nation hero of the 21st century.

Please, do not mess it up. Once again, I love you and good luck!

Sincerely yours,

Josehp Hispagne Pierre
